Baby Is Back

It's only been a few days but Mommy says I grew a foot during my Christmas vacation. She is so happy to see me!

Doggone it

Ahhhh! The killer dog is eating my hand!!!
Not really. It's just Rio, Aunt Kim's trusty dog, licking my paw.

My little helper

My cousin Tristen has been real eager to help me the last two days. She's changed my diaper, given me a bottle and helped put me to bed. I say not bad for an 8-year-old.

Meet the Heyings (hīnz)

I'm surrounded by cousins and aunts and uncles and grandmas and grandpas. It's so exciting I think I'll chew on my hand!

Out West

Over the last two days, daddy and I have driven all the way from Wichita to Gillette, Wyoming (850 miles!). That's where daddy grew up and I'm out here to meet all sorts of new people. I've been a super travel buddy. I didn't cry one time the whole way and I was pretty cozy riding along in my comfy seat. What's really on my mind though is the following: What's all of this white stuff on the ground!!!

Twin towers of fun

My dad is always amazed at how fast I gain weight, and these days I'm coming in at a whopping 15 pounds. Daddy's cousins Brent and Brady, who live in Nebraska, come in at a combined 710 pounds. I hope they're not thinking "Get in ma belleh!!"

What'll Santa have with his cookies?

Before I leave on Christmas vacation, Mommy has packed plenty of food for me. That's 300 oz. of breakfast, lunch, dinner and some snacks in the background.

Holding my own

Well, not really. It was more like a "bottle kickstand" that daddy rigged up to free up his hand.

"You keep eating your hand..."

"...you're not gonna be hungry for lunch." That's a quote from one of Mommy's favorite movies. And I'm always hungry for lunch.

A Visit with St. Nick

I met a jolly gentleman today named Santa Claus. He asked me what I wanted for Christmas, so I told him I wanted some hair for my little bald head.

Proper table manners

I went to a potluck with daddy today (see if you can spot me in this video!). You grown-ups can take your grown-up food and keep it.

I get by with a little help from my friends

We gathered up all of my stuffed buddies to do a retro-camera picture. I like chillin' with my friends.

Watch your step

I took advantage of a nice December day to go for a stroll. It seems every Canada goose in town had the same idea. They made the sidewalks look worse than a dirty diaper.

Get a grip

I'm getting real good at grabbing a hold of things now. Today I also figured out that if I grab this strap and yank out my binkie, all I have to do is scream a little and daddy will stop the car to put it back in!

Done With Mirrors

I have a new toy that comes with a mirror. This has led to the discovery of just how cute I really am.

Doggone cute

Mommy brought these doggone cute pajamas all the way from Kansas so I, the doggone cute baby, could have a photo opp with a couple of doggone cute dogs, Mickey and Bubbles.

Ain't no party like a D.C. party

Aunt Aerica and Uncle Kennedy threw a party in my honor. The last time I saw Auntie Cal, I was still in Mommy's tummy.

Where am I?

Aunt Aerica took me to her favorite dog-walking spot: D.C.'s Congressional Cemetary. Unlike her dogs, I don't need a leash. But my binkie does.

How'd that baby get in the cockpit?

I took my first airplane ride. Mommy gots lots of compliments because I was a good baby the whole way. Even the pilots didn't hear me cry.

Keeping it clean

I'm going on a big adventure tomorrow, so I needed to get cleaned up because it's going to be a big day. Also, by the time most of you read this, I'll be three months old! That means this blog is 1/4 of the way complete. I sure appreciate all my loyal readers.
