Monkey Business

Who needs candy for Halloween when you can have a perfectly good banana?

Trick or Trunk

Guess how adorable I was today dressed in a monkey suit and carrying a banana?

Master of puppets

I've always loved puppet shows. Auntie Angie captured this pic for the blog to demonstrate how entertaining it is now that I'm trying to be a puppeteer.

Why can't we be friends?

Spatz and I have always been buddies, but Zelde is a little more skittish around me. Perhaps it's because I'm still learning how not to grab her tail or pull on her soft fur.

One little monkey jumping on the bed

I'm tired. I'm cranky. But what I'd rather do is jump up and down in my crib for a while.

Now that's entertainment!

One white napkin + several dozen rounds of "Peek-A-Boo" = best behaved baby in the restaurant.

Snack-n-play

All that playing in the park today made me hungry. Glad I got to spend alot of time outdoors as there probably won't be any more 83-degree days for a while.

Picking out a photo

I went to apply for a passport today and had to get my picture taken. This pose was soundly rejected by the U.S. Postal Service. Bureaucrats and foreign embassies apparently have no sense of humor.

Bedtime snack

Nothing makes me sleepy quite like a bottle of milk right before bed.

Seeing things differently

There's plenty of evidence now that no matter the style, I pull off glasses pretty nicely.

Protection from the cold

It's starting to get chilly out. Good thing I've got a sweet coat. Keeps me warm and feels like this blanket I used a year ago

First sign of fall

I'm not in charge of raking the leaves in the yard yet because I can't use a rake. But if the leaves need to be picked up one at a time and moved around, that I can do.

How things work

Let's see... Dad puts the keys up to the doorknob and the door opens. I've got this figured out.

A comfy spot

I always loved sitting on Great Grandpa Doyle's lap in his favorite chair and napping. Today I borrowed another great grandpa's lap so I could sit and rock in Grandpa's chair one last time.

Playing dress-up

Great Grandma Helen always had the neatest stuff at her house. I put her old necklaces on myself. What fun!

To Mumbai, with love

What does everyone at this table have in common? They've all been to India! (Except me and my new friend, Junior, who's hiding under the table.)

Shakin' like a leaf on a tree

Just trying to speed up the season by helping the leaves fall off of the trees.

Gold medal winner

Dad ran a 13.1 mile race yesterday. He finished in 421st place overall (out of 1,549 runners), but I'm a winner since he brought home something new for me to play with.

Purrrrfect playthings

Why play with my toys when I can play with cat toys? Good thing Spatz and Zelde know how to share.

Kibbe kibbe baby

Prior to my delicious Lebanese dinner tonight, I took a tour inside the cathedral to admire the art.

Please don't eat the daisies

I probably shouldn't pick Mommy's flowers, unless I give them to her myself.

No stone unturned

You gotta keep an eye on me. If I could figure out a way to climb into the oven, refrigerator, toilet or kitchen cabinets, I'd do that, too.

Doctor, Doctor, give me the news

Made a stop at the doctor's office today to check on my ears. I've had a typanogram before and today's test results were good.

This translates to: "Dad, pull over and feed me before I eat my foot."

Wedding day

Aunt Kim got married in Colorado today to a really great guy named Doug, who later was given the title of "Uncle Doug" during a beautiful ceremony. Also of note: Aunt Kim had a fabulous cheese spread in her bridal room.

Good habits start early

On a weekend road trip and I brought bunches of books to look at along the way. It takes a lot of books to make it through 550 miles.
