Measuring the snowfall

This snowfall looks to be a bit more substantial than the last one. Dad say snowman making may be possible this time.

My little pony

There's still plenty of giddy-up and go when it comes to riding Legend, my pony.

A new beginning

I had my first soccer practice today. Besides the fierce, cold north wind, everything went perfectly.

Masterpiece in the making

All great artists have to start somewhere.

A proper sendoff

We had a nice lunch at The Anchor before taking Uncle Craig to the airport. Well, everyone else had a nice lunch. I dropped my hamburger of the floor.

Hand-me-down fun

Lexi's old ballet dresses sure do come in handy when Lillian and I decide to play dress-up.

An out-of-town visitor

Uncle Craig came down from Montana to visit for a few days. First order of business: get reacquainted.

Heavy on the veggies

I still wrinkle up my nose at trying sushi but at least veggies and rice are tasty.

Making memories

Ran off some energy. Played some hide and seek. It's good to be a kid.

Magic wand

Beware: with this wand, I can freeze people! Just like Queen Elsa.

Calling in a consult

After a thorough examination, I still couldn't figure out what was wrong with Meow Meow. It was time to call Dr. Bradley and get his opinion on the patient.

How to succeed at Monday without even trying

Lexi didn't have school today, so how did we spend a lazy Monday? Scooby Doo cartoon marathon, duh.

Play date

One thing you'll hear me say about a dozen times a day: "Dadddddddyyyyyy! Will you play frozen dollies with me?"

Fabulous footwork

Soccer practice starts up again in a couple of weeks, so I took advantage of the nice weather to dribble around in the backyard.

Guilty as charged

I received a "sad note home" at preschool today. I've been having a hard time listening during nap time. Dad says this had better be the last "sad note home."

Anybody got a quarter? Or two? Or 50?

Mommy lifted her "no screens" rule temporarily so I could kick it old school with classic arcade games like Discs of Tron, Pole Position, and Ms. Pacman. After Burner by Sega was by far the best one in the bunch.

Time to make the valentines

There's a big party at school on Friday, and each of my classmates and teachers are getting a one-of-a-kinda valentine from me.

I got five on it

There's really only one way to eat black olives.

Waste not, want not

We were out of pickles. Not a problem.

Princesses and Pirates party

Makynzie turned four so Room 7 celebrated at Pigtails and Crewcuts. I thought P&C was only for getting a haircut.

A doggone good time

What better way to spend a beautiful Saturday afternoon than playing outside in the backyard with Bess?

Another (overseas) guest narrator

I'm so glad Hilary came all the way from Switzerland to read a bedtime story to me.

Sloppy what?

It's policy for me to reject any food I'm not familiar with and any food made from scratch. After a fair amount of coaxing, I tried Sloppy Joes tonight. The verdict? Meh.

Snowflake appetizer

The big, fat snowflakes only lasted 15 minutes. Just enough time to go out and try and catch a few on the tongue.

Living science experiment

My classmates and I went on a field trip to the Kansas Aviation Museum today. I learned a little about  Wichita's aviation history, but I learned a lot about how much electricity you can generate on a dry, winter day by going down a plastic slide numerous times.

Live! From Lawrence!

Dad was working at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence tonight and gave me a FaceTime call before bedtime.

Snackadium

I could care less about the Super Bowl, but I am a fan of this "Snackadium" that we made for a Super Bowl party. Many of the players were eaten by me before making it to the field. Poor black olives.

Jump around

To celebrate Brooklyn's birthday, we went to Urban Air. I jumped around like a frog/rabbit/kangaroo the whole time.
