Family Tradition

Dad's Uncle Alvin and Aunt Donna watch me play the organ at their home in Nebraska today.
It sure was fun to spend a couple of days with the New family. The picture on the wall is the wedding portrait of my great-great grandparents, Henry and Julia New. They were married in Hanover, Kansas in 1913. The violin on the wall belonged to my great-grandpa Alvin, who played in a band with his siblings when they were kids, playing dances in rural South Dakota during the 1930's.

Having said all that, sit back and watch this rockin' organ solo. As Ferris Bueller would say... "Never had one lesson!"
